BADCARROT X SILVERFACTORY
2022 BlackVegFest Social Post
BadCarrot is a Korean Vegan cuisine start-up that focuses on bringing local Korean ingredients to the table. The motto, “the vegetable revolution,” portrays their statement for vegetables to be the main ingredients for everyday meal.
To announce their participation at 2022 BlackVegFest, I was requested to create social media posts to announce their participation and showcase their menu. To emphasize BadCarrot’s effort to utilize Korean-produced ingredients, I’ve incorporated traditional elements in the title to truly embrace the brand’s effort.

Before I began researching, I had a two main objectives: to portray that BadCarrot uses traditional Korean ingredients and to maintain BadCarrot’s brand identity.
I started from a very basic thought with creating a color palette related to the main ingredient, Gosari. But then I felt like something was off, something wasn’t really embracing the kitschy vibe that BadCarrot had.
Soon, I thought Korean traditional patterns will fit: a form of art that contains meanings within every element of the nature. The strong, vivid colors resonated in a different manner yet could be transform into an attention-holding element.
